Thank you Danielle for the invitation to your new blog.
I wish all you the best. If you want to see how to get started, go to the 2nd semester's blog and scroll down until you see the archives on the right hand side of their page.
2nd Semester Blog
Click on January 2006. This will put you on their blog at the time when they were right where you are now. There is alot of getting started tips in the first few months of their blog. They will be the closest to you in theory and clinical experiences. You can get help from all of the blogs this way. Every semester the blogs get better because the students before you have laid groundwork down or have added to others. You shouldn't have to keep having the same struggles of finding help. It has already been done. You guys will be able to add stuff far beyond of what we have accomplished so far and will be able to pass it on to the next semester. The only limitations to your learning is yourself, the help is out there for the taking, you just need to use it.
Here is how you can search each blog. At the top of each blog there is a box that says "Search this blog" Say you wanted to find out about PDA stuff, you type in "PDA" in the white space next to the search box and hit search. It will bring up a list of all of the blog posts that have any mention of PDAs in them. This way you can quickly find the information that you need.
These blogs are virtual study groups for the entire class. When you get a study guide, some of you(for example) can type out a few questions and post your findings with the page numbers of where you found your information. That way the study load is shared among many and everyone can comment on the findings and share what they found or think about it. It really helps to compare your thoughts with others to see if you or others are on the right track.
Hey, Good luck.
Enjoy the ride. It goes by way too fast!
