Which PDA to Buy

Hello everyone,
Which PDA do you recommend I should buy? I am looking at the Palm TX or the Palm LifeDrive. The Palm LifeDrive is larger with 4GB of memory and the Palm TX has only 128MB. What do you think is best and why?
Thanks

I bought the TX and I already had to buy a card; I wish I would have just spent the extra money up front and gotten the life drive.
Hopes this info helps

I'm a 2nd sem. and I have the T/X and it works fine (Med search). You can always add memory card for the T/X at an additional cost;however, if you have money to burn, the Life drive is the BEST one to get. (4GB of memory)

The memory, faster processor and voice recording features are the advantages of getting the Life Drive but compared to the T/X it both has the same capabilities/features. Here's the Palm website for the comparison of the two products.

If you buy the T/X from the Palm store you can get the keyboard for free ($69 value).

Hi Martha,

I had the same issue when buying a PDA. I went for the LiferDive because I didn't want to have to mess with memory cards, and with 4GB you can throw everything onto your PDA and not even think about whether you'll have enough space or not. I think you end up paying the same amount for a cheaper PDA as for the LifeDrive if you need to buy a memory card, plus you'll still have more space on the LifeDrive. But if money is an issue, get a cheaper PDA anyway, because I've been told that it's still going to be really helpful
on the floor during clinicals. Hope that helps!

Right now you can buy a 4GB expansion card for about $40 on Ebay & shipping.

If you have the moolah, go for the LifeDrive, but remember to insure it.

Good advice, all.

One of the things to be aware of is your Operating System. Some come with a Palm OS, some with a Windows OS. The applications for one will not be compatible with the other. We quickly discovered someone with a Windows OS cannot accept a beamed Palm OS application. Just be aware.

I use a Tungsten T3 that I picked up for $100 including a 65 MB card from Ebay.

I will be moving all my Nursing apps to a 4GB card ASAP.

The Lifedrive has an operating system that is compatible with Windows, Mac and Palm OS.
